The Account Owner has total control over his/her account, including account settings (e.g., passwords) and choosing membership level.

If an Account Owner has assigned a "Reporter Password" to you, log in as Reporter using that password.

The Account Owner can originate, edit, and delete news feeds, and can add, edit, and delete items on existing news feeds.

Editors have the same access permissions for news items as the account owner but cannot access any account settings. Editors have free access to all items in the feed even those items posted by Reporters or Freelancers. In fact, for moderated feeds, the Editor can review and approve items posted by Reporters so that they go online. Item approval is accomplished by editing the item and submitting it.

The editor feature is available at the "Publisher" membership level and higher.

Reporters are individuals assigned passwords by the account owner to add, edit, and delete items on news feeds, acting as an assistant to the account owner.

Reporters can originate news items but can alter or delete only those items this reporter originated. Reporters cannot alter or delete any other news items. Reporters provide a PIN to identify which items are theirs.

Furthermore, if the feed is moderated, items posted by a Reporter to that feed do not go online until edited and submitted by the Account Owner or an Editor.

The reporter feature is available at the "Publisher" membership level and higher.

Freelance writers gain access to only those specific items within a feed to which the account owner has chosen to give access by providing the password. You will be presented a list of those feeds for which you have access to one or more items, and then when you select one of those feeds, you will have access to those items on that feed.

Freelancers cannot originate or delete items, only edit items or replace items with new content altogether. Freelancers are able to simultaneously log their item to another feed if they are provided the editor password for that other feed.
